The Mission Statement

The Austrian-Canadian Council (ACC) is a charitable foundation that was established in the summer of 1994. The ACC’s mission is to:

• inform Canadians about Austrian culture and learning, giving them an appreciation of Austrian studies, Austrian graphic and performing arts and Austrian intellectual life and literature;
• promote awareness among Canadians about the contributions Austrian immigrants have made to Canada;
• sponsor and promote the preservation of Austrian culture in Canada;
• act as a coordinating body for Austrian and Austrian-Canadian activities in Canada;
• function as the national voice of Austrians and Austrian-Canadians in Canada;
• serve as an umbrella organization of the more than twenty Austrian clubs and societies across Canada.
